​There are some truly amazing places to explore and visit nearby in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. For adventurers there is rock climbing at Symonds Yat, numerous walking and bike-riding trails leading directly into the woods, and canoeing or kayaking on the River Wye. If you are wanting a slower pace there are plenty of local castles (Raglan, Chepstow, Goodrich) as well as arboretums and nature reserves. Also, there are fishing lakes within a couple of miles.
